Way Out West Mercantile Shipping Policy

Because we offer a mix of products sold directly through this store and items purchased via Amazon, shipping works a little differently depending on what you buy. This page covers how shipping works for store items. Amazon items follow Amazon’s shipping policies.

1. Types of Products

We currently offer:
  • Store items (drop shipped):
    These are purchased and shipped through Way Out West Mercantile.
  • Amazon items (“Amazon Picks”):
    These are purchased on Amazon after you click through from our site and are shipped by Amazon or its sellers.
This Shipping Policy applies only to store items purchased directly from Way Out West Mercantile.

2. Where We Ship (Store Items)

We currently ship store items to the United States.
If your location isn’t listed at checkout, reach out via our Contact page and we’ll let you know if we can make an exception.
Amazon items may ship to additional locations based on Amazon’s own policies.

3. Processing Times (Store Items)

Most store orders are processed within 2 business days after you place your order.
  • Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email when your order is placed and another email with tracking information once it ships.
Because many items are drop shipped from our partners, you may receive multiple packages if your order contains more than one item.

4. Estimated Delivery Times (Store Items)

Estimated delivery times will vary based on your location and the specific product, but most orders arrive within:
  • Domestic (e.g., U.S.): 4–6 business days after shipment
  • International (if applicable): not currently available
These are estimates, not guarantees. Weather, carrier delays, and other factors outside our control can occasionally slow things down.

5. Shipping Rates (Store Items)

Shipping rates for store items are calculated at checkout based on:
  • Your shipping address
  • The weight and size of the items in your order
  • The shipping method selected (when options are available)
If we offer free or discounted shipping promotions (for example, free shipping over a certain order amount), details will be clearly noted on the site or in the announcement bar.

6. Tracking Your Order (Store Items)

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information, when available.
  • It may take 24–48 hours for tracking updates to appear after the label is created.
  • If you haven’t seen any tracking movement after a few days, feel free to contact us and we’ll look into it.
  • You can also track you order via Shop in the footer of our website

7. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments (Store Items)

If your store order is significantly delayed, appears lost, or arrives damaged:
  1. Check the tracking information for any carrier updates.
  2. Contact us with your order number and details of the issue.
  3. For damaged items, please include clear photos of the product and packaging.
We’ll work with you and the carrier to find a solution, which may include a replacement, store credit, or refund, depending on the situation and product availability.

8. Shipping for Amazon Items (“Amazon Picks”)

Items purchased through Amazon links on our site are not shipped by Way Out West Mercantile.
  • Shipping options, costs, and delivery times for those items are set by Amazon and/or the Amazon seller.
  • Any questions about shipping, tracking, or delivery for Amazon orders should be handled through your Amazon account.
If you’re unsure whether your item was purchased through our store or via Amazon:
  • “Add to Cart” → shipped through this store
  • “Buy on Amazon” → shipped by Amazon
